Unknownworlds werkelt weiter fleißig an Subnautica und hat heute den nächsten Content-Patch veröffentlicht. Das Update trägt den Namen „Silent Running“, welches das U-Boot „Zyklop“ massiv erweitert. Aber auch neue Ressourcen-Modelle und ein frisches Interface wurden Subnautica spendiert.
Neue Features des Updates „Silent Running“
Wie dem Trailer zum neuen Update zu entnehmen ist, hat die Zyklop etliche neue Features erhalten, die zukünftige Fahrten nicht nur spannender, sondern auch gefährlicher machen, was dem Survival-Aspekt von Subnautica neuen Antrieb gibt. Schauen wir uns mal die neuen Features im Detail an!
Der „Silent Running“-Modus
Ihr könnt jetzt Eure Zyklop in verschiedene Modis versetzen, um entweder schnell (aber dafür laut) die Unterwasserwelt zu erkunden, oder eher leise durch gefährliche Gebiete schleichen. Der Schleich-Modus schaltet dabei die Außenbeleuchtung ab und senkt die Geschwindigkeit auf ein Minimum. So werdet Ihr schwerer als Beute erkannt.
Neue Upgrades
Ihr könnt nun mit einem Sonar das umliegende Gelände scannen und Euch so die vor Euch liegende Topografie anzeigen lassen. Sehr hilfreich, wenn Ihr in den dunkelsten Tiefen im „Silent Mode“ unterwegs seid.
Eine weitere Neuerung ist der Notfall-Schild, der Euch für 15 Sekunden vor Attacken schützen kann. Beachtet aber den hohen Energiebedarf der Schilde.
Das dritte im Bunde der neuen Upgrades hilft bei der Feuerbekämpfung innerhalb des Schiffes. Gerät Euer Schiff durch starke Angriffe in Brand könnt Ihr das Feuer per Tastendruck unterdrücken und nicht mehr mit dem Feuerlöscher durch die Zyklop hetzen.
Neues Interface für die Zyklop
Die Zyklop hat ein komplett neues Interface bekommen, um Platz für die vielen neuen Features zu erhalten. So gibt es zum Beispiel im Generatorraum ein ganz neues Display, welches Euch über den aktuellen Status der Zyklop informiert.
Auch könnt Ihr Euch eine holografische Statusansicht anzeigen lassen, die Schäden am Schiff in sekundenschnelle lokalisieren kann.
Kreaturen-Detektor
Da mit dem „Silent Running“-Update die Zyklop zum Ziel von allerlei Kreaturen werden kann, gibt es nun die Möglichkeit, sich über den Kreaturen-Detektor alle aggressiven Lebewesen in der näheren Umgebung anzeigen zu lassen. Es kann von Vorteil sein, wenn man frühzeitig auf größere Ansammlungen von Feinden reagieren kann.
Vom Schiff zum Wrack
Mit dem neuen Update wird es noch wichtiger mit der Zyklop sehr vorsichtig zu navigieren. Neben den Angriffen von Kreaturen ist auch die Landschaft nicht gerade der Freund der Außenhülle. Sämtliche Schäden müssen schnellstmöglich repariert werden, da sonst Feuer ausbrechen können, die Ihr löschen müsst. Ist das Schiff nicht mehr zu retten wird es zu einem Wrack. Und das kann dann nur noch in Materialien zerlegt, aber nicht mehr repariert werden.
Köder
Ihr könnt zum Schutz Eurer Zyklop auch Köder abwerfen, die die Aufmerksamkeit von aggressiven Kreaturen auf sich lenken. Durch Upgrades könnt Ihr bis zu 5 Stück der Abwehritems in die Zyklop laden.
Neue Precursor-Höhlen
Wer sich mit der Geschichte und dem Geheimnis um die alte Alienrasse auseinandersetzen möchte, bekommt 2 neue Höhlensysteme zum erkunden. Je 1 Höhle ist in den Biomen „Mushroom Forest“ und „Craig Field“ hinzugekommen. Werden wir jetzt mehr über die versunkene Zivilisation erfahren?
Datenboxen
Über die gesamte Unterwasserwelt verteilt werdet Ihr jetzt Datenboxen finden können, die spezielle Daten-Chips enthalten, die Euch sofort einen Bauplan freischalten. Sucht die Datenboxen in Lifepods und Wracks!
